Very attractive property in a lovely location  The chalet was clean, warm and well maintained – perfect for teenagers after a days skiing! The kids had great fun with the Wii and the open plan living made for a really sociable holiday. We tended to eat out on the slopes at lunch time and eat in in the evenings – this worked really well for us. The wood burner was great and the accommodation very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this chalet!

Chalet Highly recommended. We have used this Chalet 3 years in a row now and always enjoy our stay. We arrive to a clean and warm chalet, with our pre-shopping already delivered. The facilities are excellent, and I think most importantly for us, the chalet feels like a home, with the kitchen always well stocked with the basics, the lounge has a DVD player and a wii for the kids, and the bedrooms are ready to go. There is always wood for the wood burner, essential for any ski trip. The garage is perfect for our ski gear. The location is excellent, mid way between Linga and Pre La Joux, and the bus stops right outside. The Skiing in Chatel is excellent, and a great window into the Portes Du Soleil region. Our children have all learnt to ski here and we are now free to go off exploring as a family. The owners are great, and always helpful and responsive and the Chalet managers are just over the road and always available. I can highly recommend a stay at Chalet Chocolat!

Thank you for such a lovely weeks holiday.

We enjoyed our week in August in the mountains at Ski Chalet Chocolat.
There was so much to do in Chatel for everyone in the family from walking, Via Ferrata, biking and swimming in the luxurious new pool in town. The chalet had all the home comforts to make a really relaxing weeks holiday. The kitchen was well stocked , it even had a slow cooker making it easy to feed six of us in the evenings after active days out !
It was exciting to be able to use the amazing lift system that Chatel has to offer to reach the higher ground ( we have only ever been to the Alps in the winter season before this trip but will become a regular summer visitors now). It felt great to walk from France into Switzerland and back in an afternoon!

A beautiful chalet that is clearly loved. Not only did we have all the conveniences, but also all the comfort, luxury and character that so many places lack. The support network for skis, food & cleaning was all in place and allows you to maximise time on the mountain. This is further enhanced by the ski-in, bus out location. Love the accessibility of Chatel from Geneva, making it a fantastic gateway in to the Portes du Soleil ski area. Best recommendation I can give is that I have already booked to go again this season. A very appropriately named Chalet…..

Chalet Chocolat has been our favourite destination for the last two years. It is great accommodation for family or friends to share a skiing or walking holiday in the French Alps. The chalet is well placed for either the slopes (free bus stop just close to the chalet) or just popping into town. It is extremely comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing fun holiday. The views from the balcony are stunning and perfect for enjoying a glass of something refreshing after a day on the slopes.

Great chalet, all you need, warm, comfortable, ideal for us to get away as a family, enjoy the Portes du Soleil with perfect access in to Pre La Joux and Avoriaz areas and then to relax in the evenings with the kids and friends. Easy access to the slopes and nice to be tucked away from the main stream of a ski resort. ( We even managed to escape there this summer to enjoy some croissants and coffee on the balcony! Beautiful mountain walks, biking to the village for a beer or glass of vino, whilst the children loved the activities that the whole area offers, certainly plenty to do with amazing scenery).

We have stayed in many accommodations in chatel over the years and this was by far the best. It was ideally situated for the slopes and for the village. There was a bus stop close by. The chalet itself was extremely warm and welcoming. There was plenty of space for the 8 of us. The cooking facilities were very good. We have never had so much equipment in a chalet, toys and games for the children and a well stocked store cupboard. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. There was plenty of wood for the fire which we lit every night, it heated all the chalet beautifully. The managers were very helpful and when we did have a very minor problem it was resolved immediately. I had plenty of information about the chalet before we left uk which is always good.

We stayed in Chalet Chocolat during July 2013. We loved the cosy, warm, comfortable accommodation very much. There was more than enough space for our family of 2 children and two adults. In fact it could easily hold two such   families. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to use (perfect for cooking up some of the lovely produce from the local Wednesday market). There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the lower floor which are clean and lovely. There is a master suite with ensuite on the upper floor which is also clean and lovely. The balcony has a bbq and outdoor setting which was perfect for those summer evenings looking out towards the opposite mountain spotting deer! The location is ideal for summer walking. From the chalet there are walking trails into Chatel, up the mountain behind the chalet and many other places. There is bus that goes right past the chalet that can take you to Chatel and many other places. If you have a car then you can take advantage of the close proximity of the Swiss border and head over to Switzerland for the day for some walking or cheese! There were many activities to keep the children amused including a luge track, mini-golf, skating and fishing. Chatel has a wide range of cafes and restaurants which are all seemed to be child-friendly. There is a large supermarket just on the other side of Chatel which is very well stocked. I would highly recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for either an adventure-filled holiday with lots to do, or for a relaxing holiday in a quiet, serene location.

We had an amazing week, your chalet was wonderful and we all felt really at home. I can’t thank you enough for the help you gave. The ski school was great & the kids came away able to ski with medals to prove it. The ski hire were great, nothing was too much trouble, we will certainly use them again.  We would very much like to use your chalet again in the future as we really loved the location and the warm feeling of the chalet.

Dear Peter We got back from Chatel late last night. We all had a great holiday. The Multipass was very useful. We managed to do a fare bit of walking and found some walking guides for Chatel and Morgin which we have left in the chalet. We found the chalet very comfortable and convenient. You seem to have thought of every thing.   I hadn’t realised when booking how great it would be to have English television. It was great to able watch Andy Murray win Wimbledon!  Neil was very helpful “
