Where is the chalet?
• Chalet Chocolat is situated in an idyllic part of Châtel called ‘Très-les-Pierres’, which is conveniently nestled between the 2 main lifts, Linga and Pré-la-Joux.

How do I book my holiday?
•In the first instance, please contact us by email or phone to check availability. We can then send to you our booking form for you to complete and email us back, its as easy as that.

How do I pay for my holiday?
•A £350 non-refundable deposit  is required within 7 days to secure your booking. Payment is made by bank transfer and we can accept Pounds Sterling or Euros. On receipt of your booking form we will provide you with our bank account details.
•We ask that one person, the designated Party Leader is responsible for all payments.
•The full balance is required 8 weeks before the start date of your holiday. We will contact you in advance to advise that the balance is due, but we reserve the right to sell the holiday to another party should the full balance not be received by the specified date. For full details on bookings, payments and cancellations, please see terms and conditions. We also require a £500 fully returnable security deposit against any breakages or damages 2 weeks prior to your holiday. This will be returned within 7 days following departure subject to any deductions for breakages or damage beyond that which is deemed acceptable wear and tear. Contact us for further details.

What’s included in my holiday?
•7 nights accommodation available from 3pm on arrival day until 10am on departure day
•All bedding and towels
•Final clean  – however expectation is that the chalet is left in a tidy state. Extra charges will be incurred if left in an untidy state, or items are damaged
•Friends bar – a selection of aperitifs for your enjoyment, where we ask if you participate to replace with a similar quantity / quality of goods. Please bring a couple of bottles and you can have a wider choice
•Store cupboard – basics for cooking e.g. salt, pepper, herbs, oil, mustard

What’s not included in my holiday?
•Transfers to and from the airport
•Catering
•Ski Hire
•Lift passes
•Insurance

When does my holiday start and finish?
•Guests are welcome to enter the chalet from 3pm on arrival day.
•On departure day we ask that guests leave the chalet by 10am so that changeover for incoming guests may commence. Luggage can be left in the secure garage for collection later.

How do I arrange a transfer?
•If you require transfers to and from Geneva Airport or Aigle or Thonon Train stations, please contact us with your arrival details and we can advise, (typically Euro 250 transfer for 8 people will take 90 minutes from Geneva)

Can you arrange to have our shopping delivered?
•Yes we can arrange for your shopping to be delivered and unpacked for when you arrive. Please contact us for more details.

Can you provide catering?
•Yes we can arrange for catering  for up to 6 days per week (Subject to our suppliers availability), from individual meals either cooked (and cleaned up) in the chalet to meals dropped off requiring you to just put them in the oven. For the 2023/24 season we recommend  www.peakeat.fr who will prepare fresh meals every day for you to warm up at he end of a hard days skiing.  If you fancy a raclette then contact the https://www.raclettecompany.com/  who will prepare the food and bring the equipment for your eat in dinner.

How does the honesty bar work?
•We have provided an initial selection of aperitifs which you are welcome to consume. All we ask is that you leave a similar volume of something in its place. This is a great way to have a wider selection of aperitifs to choose from over the week.

Do we have to clean the chalet at the end?
•No we do not ask you to clean it, however we ask that everything is left tidy and back in its original place. We ask that all washing up is done and that the dishwasher is set. All rubbish / recycling should be disposed of in the outside bins.

Are linen and bedding provided?
•Yes all the beds will be made up with Egyptian linen ready for your arrival. We also provide large fluffy Egyptian cotton towels. If you prefer to bring your own linen and towels then please contact us to enquire as to a price reduction. Please note in summer you will need to bring your own towels for taking away from the chalet for swimming.

How do I arrange ski hire?
•Skis, boots, boards and helmets can be hired through our recommended mobile ski hire company, SkiHire2u who will visit the chalet at your convenience to fit you out with equipment. Please book online. Payment should be made direct to the SkiHire2u representative on fitting. Credit cards are accepted. Chalet Chocolat customers will benefit from a 10% Discount.

How do I obtain a lift pass?
•We can advise on the most suitable passes for your group, and assist you in purchasing them so that they are waiting for you on upon your arrival.  We will discuss your needs prior to your holiday.

Can you provide a cot and other baby equipment?
•Yes, the chalet has one travel cot and a limited supply of baby bedding. We can also provide a Tripp Trapp high chair, a Quinny buggy and  baby monitor.

Can we arrive/depart on days other than Saturday?
•This may be possible as are short breaks. Please contact us with your enquiry.
